Terri A. G. Adkisson, the owner of Tesseract -- a consulting firm
that assists corporations in cross-disciplinary growth strategies -- has been named to the
Board of Directors of Dallas Area Rapid Transit. Ms. Adkisson will represent Dallas on the 15-member board, made up
of representatives from 13 member cities. Her appointment was ratified in October by the
Dallas City Council.
A graduate of the University of
Oklahoma, with a master's degree in business from the University of Texas in Austin, Ms.
Adkisson has more than 10 years experience in strategic planning in both high tech and
traditional businesses. |
She served from 1995 to
1998 on DART's Community Transportation Forum and most recently on DART's Citizen Advisory
Council.
Adkisson, currently participating in the 1998-99 Leadership Dallas class, is pleased about
her appointment to the DART Board, and looks forward to learning more about regional
transportation issues. "Solving regional transportation problems will require
creative thinking and interaction from a variety of disciplines. My goal is to bring my
private sector experience in integrating information from diverse fields to the public
sector," she said. |
