New Irving Representative
Irving attorney joins Dallas Area Rapid Transit Board
Long-time city councilmember and community leader John Carter Danish has been appointed to the DART Board of Directors by the Irving City Council.
An attorney in private practice, Danish is a former Deputy Mayor Pro Tem and former chairman of the Irving Planning and Zoning Commission. Long active in transit issues, he served as chairman of DART's Citizen Advisory Committee and as chairman of the Public Transportation Committee of the Irving Chamber of Commerce.
His community involvement includes leadership positions with Rotary International, the American Heart Association, Irving Heritage Society, and the New Tomorrows Shelter - for victims of domestic violence.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Illinois and a law degree from Southern Methodist University.
