How to Ride
With 65 DART Rail stations, 10 TRE stations and 14 bus transfer facilities, your DART pass is like a key to the city — putting you within steps of the places you go every day.
DART buses and trains operate daily from approximately 5 a.m. to midnight. DART Rail offers service every 7½-15 minutes during rush hours, and 20 minutes during the midday and weekends, and 30 minutes late at night. Bus schedules vary by neighborhood. DART recently redesigned its entire bus network to increase frequency, reduce travel time, improve service, and create better access. Complemented by expanded GoLink service, the new bus network now puts 74% of residents in the DART Service Area within a half-mile of DART service. All Local routes have at least 19 hours of service, seven days a week. The agency continues to make improvements to bus service, passenger facilities, rider communications, and staff training with a focus on the riderís experience.
The 93-mile light rail system consists of four lines:
- Red - Parker Road to Westmoreland (north-southwest);
- Blue - Downtown Rowlett to UNT Dallas (northeast-south);
- Green - North Carrollton/Frankford to Buckner (northwest-southeast); connects with DCTA A-train to Denton at Trinity Mills Station;
- Orange - DFW Airport to Parker Road or LBJ/Central (northwest-north); connects with TEXRail to downtown Fort Worth at DFW Airport Station.
This commuter rail line connects the downtowns of Dallas and Fort Worth, with stops in the Mid-Cities and connections to DFW International Airport Monday through Saturday. You'll pay Local fare for a trip between EBJ Union Station and CentrePort/DFW Airport Station, and a Regional fare into Tarrant County.
GoLink is DART's on-demand service. Using a variety of vehicles and service providers, GoLink delivers on-demand DART service within a designated zone. With GoLink, you can book an on-demand trip and head to work, run an errand or connect to DART buses and trains. Book a trip through the GoPass app or by calling 214-515-7272. GoLink trips are covered by a valid contactless DART fare.
The city of Dallas' modern streetcar system travels a 2.45-mile route with six stops between EBJ Union Station in downtown Dallas and the historic Bishop Arts District. The Dallas Streetcar runs every 20 minutes, seven days a week, from 5:30 a.m. to midnight. There is a $1 one-way fare to ride the Dallas Streetcar if you do not have a valid pre-purchased DART pass. To pay your fare, tap your GoPass Tap card, contactless credit/debit card, or payment-enabled mobile device at the onboard reader, or purchase a Dallas Streetcar fare on the GoPass app. There is no cash fare option onboard.
This vintage trolley is free to ride and links the downtown Dallas Arts District with the trendy shops, galleries and bistros of Uptown, including West Village, with connections to DART trains at Cityplace/Uptown Station. The line extends south along St. Paul and Olive streets to near St. Paul and Pearl/Arts District stations, as well as Klyde Warren Park.
Modern, accessible vehicles provide curb-to-curb transportation to people with disabilities who are unable to use regular fixed-route buses or trains. Eligible riders may schedule trips anywhere within the DART Service Area including DFW International and Love Field airports.
Passenger vans — complete with maintenance, insurance and emergency taxi rides home — are available to groups of six to 15 commuters with common origins and destinations. DART Vanpools are often fully or partially subsidized by employers.
